Dear all,
I’m getting in touch to let you know that we – the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity, the Indigenous Women’s Biodiversity Network, the Centres of Distinction on Indigenous and Local Knowledge and Forest Peoples Programme – have begun work on the third edition of Local Biodiversity Outlooks, and we are looking for case studies to include.
Local Biodiversity Outlooks is a multimedia publication (a written report and an accompanying website) that highlights the vital role of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in conserving and sustainably using biodiversity. It draws on information and case studies contributed by Indigenous Peoples and local communities, and organisations working in partnership with them, worldwide. The
previous edition is available here, and the third edition is due for release in 2026 at COP-17.
Proposals (2-3 paragraphs) for case studies are being accepted until October 24th 2025. We would love to recieve your proposals and also would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this call out as widely as possible. More information
about LBO and the
call for case studies is available on the website. We have prepared some
suggested text and graphics for sharing the call for case studies here to facilitate sharing on social media.
With best wishes,
Claire and the Local Biodiversity Outlooks team
