We’re excited to invite you to ‘Gender & Environment: Interlinkages’, an online workshop by the Centre for Gender and Environment. The workshop explores how gender shapes and is shaped by environmental realities. 

WORKSHOP DATES: 19th June to 27th June, 2026
SESSION TIME: 5.00 PM to 7.30 PM (includes time for Q&A)
COURSE FEE: INR 4000/-

19th June' 26 - Introduction to Gender–Environment Interlinkages 

20th June' 26 - Sectoral impacts of climate change on women 

26th June' 26 -  Discussions on the changing world scenarios 

27th June' 26 - Exploring frameworks for inclusion and gender-just solutions within existing systems

NOTE: An assignment will be given on the second day, and all participants are expected to submit it within one week after the final session. The assignments in CGE courses are specifically designed to provide hands-on experience and practical ways of implementing the skills and knowledge gained during the course. 

FACILITATORS:

Yachna Srivastava is a researcher and facilitator working at the intersection of gender, climate, and community resilience.  She has worked with grassroots organisations across India and specialises in capacity building and participatory learning methods.

Mani Prakash is the Co-founder and Director of the Centre for Gender and Environment. With over a decade of experience in law, environment, and grassroots training, she brings deep insights into gender-environment intersections, climate justice, and policy frameworks that govern them.

Annu Kumari: State Project Coordinator, UNDP India, Jharkhand, Annu Kumari is a development professional with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) India, currently posted in Jharkhand as State Project Coordinator under the Action for Climate & Environment Team. 

Neha Kabir  - Neha Kabir, An alumnus of TISS, Mumbai has been working for past 17 years as development professional, in the area of strategic planning, people management, advocacy and networking, project management, specialized in Gender, Women Rights and Law, Education and Livelihood and development of community media.

Ravi Chandra-  is a development sector professional with 19 years of experience in program design, management, and leadership on poverty alleviation and gender inequality. He has led the UNDP's work on value chain and livelihoods with a focus on gender equality, covering enterprise, policy, and regulatory interventions with climate change being his current focus.

Arya Raje- A lawyer by training with a diverse background in litigation, training, policy, and research. An alumnus of TISS, Mumbai has been working for the past 12 years in multifaceted roles across various sectors, her focus being gender and health.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This workshop is ideal for students (MSW, environment, gender, law, policy), development professionals, researchers, CSR practitioners, grassroots leaders, journalists, communication specialists, and anyone interested in understanding the intersection of gender, environment, and climate justice.

CERTIFICATE: A certificate will be provided by CGE after successful completion of the course and submission of the assignment.
