Thanks to Pallavi for sharing - an article from the USA that is both searing in its criticism of the elite, and hopeful of direct action by those who refuse to give in.

"If end times fascism tells students there’s no future, we must teach as if the future is ours to shape. If schools are being weaponized to train youth for extinction, then education must become a form of survival — rooted in truth, care, resistance and imagination. And that kind of education is already happening — in walkouts for Gaza, in classrooms defying book bans, in radical reading groups and mutual aid projects. "

Dear all,

Wednesday, June 4th marks the UN International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

Here in Ireland, trade unions have called for a National Workplace Moment of Reflection for Peace in Palestine at 1.05pm on the 4th. https://www.ictu.ie/news/unions-call-moment-reflection-june-4th-peace-palestine

The moment of reflection is a simple but powerful act of solidarity. It is not a work stoppage but an opportunity to pause collectively and remember the thousands of innocent lives lost in Gaza, including more than 16,500 children, since October 2023.

By way of a modest contribution to this moment of reflection, I would like to share with list members the following song, sung by Dahlia Attum for all the children of Gaza in November 2023. It is entitled, 'Don't be Afraid'.

Kind regards,

Laurence
