A project that emphasizes the key ideas in your article is the 1973 academic publication, Environmental education, a community, university approach. The key is the basic engineering process of identifying the problem followed with the assembling of a core team or process experts coupled with a strong model of identifying technical experts with competent communication and application skills. One key is that your project and that of the ’73 article is that the team members were not paid. Inherent is the need to step out of traditional “credit” such as “publish or perish” which allowed maximum ability to address the situation freed from outside externalities.

The large shifts are the relationship beteen the role of former students and faculty where new emerge for the former functions of students and faculty and, thus the institution.
