Kurdistan: A year on, is there progress towards peace and democracy?

Representatives of the Kurdish freedom movement will present the movement's paradigmatic and substantive discussions on topics such as communalism, the history of resistance and real socialism, the internal transformation process. A year after Abdullah Ocalan's call to PKK to dissolve and lay down arms, how are the negotiations with the states going? What is being negotiated and what are the next steps? What is the role of women in these processes? How are the various civil societies and political parties approaching each other? What are the specific demands? How is democratic integration to be understood? What is the effect of this process on Rojava's democratic revolution?

Speakers

  • Ayşe - Jineoloji Academy, Bakur
  • Ali Cicek - Academy of Democratic Modernity
  • Salih Muslim - former co-chair and member of the presidential committee of the Democratic Union Party, PYD
