common security and human rights for all
CET
17-19 November 25
A webinar on common security and human rights
for all with focus on Central and Eastern
Europe. The webinar is inspired by the
Helsinki+50 People's Declaration promoting the
idea of indivisability of security explicitly
stated in the Helsinki Final Act later labelled
common security by the Palme Commission. The
organizers also supports the need for an OSCE
conference on European/Eurasian security. The
People´s Declaration focused also on human
rights for everyone and everywhere without
double standards. The webinar is inspired by the
Helsinki+50 People's Initiative and the
activities hat took place in Helsinki July 30 –
August 1 2025 based on its declaration. See

Background
Inspiration
is taken from the Helsinki Final Act 1975 which
paved the way for a combined mass peace movement
in all of Europe and a mass freedom movement in
CEE countries while the call in 1975 for
economic, environmental, and cultural
co-operation was replaced with expansion of the
Western Neoliberal and financial system to the
East and world-wide and not the economic and
other forms of co-operation for mutual benefit
under the guidance of the UN called for in the
Final Act. This century we have seen war in
Europe and OSCE Asia as well as the Mediterraen
which was included in the Final Sct with a
special chapter. We hope that the Helsinki
spirit from 1975 can help us find ways to solve
confliucts and find better ways to the future
today
