GalaxyWatch Studio is for Tizen platform Galaxy Watch 3 and older watches.
Galaxy Watch 4 and newer use Wear OS Powered by Samsung operating system. So you need Watch Face Studio for that and it uses ADB instead of SDB for connecting to the device. Both now need to use WiFi debugging as Bluetooth debugging is considered a security issue now.
The port and IP address should not change for most networks. The port should always be 5555 unless it is being used by some other app. I believe you may have ADB in your path and WFS uses some script relative to it location for running on device. That might force this.
You have got to Persuade your modem to stick to the IP address for your watch . I am not sure how it is done . Google the Make of your Modem and the Providers Manual . You will need your Admin Password. I have a lot of trouble when I travel anywhere and want to work on WFS . I can not tell you any more than that , as my IP address never changes . Every time I want to send a Face to my watch from WFS I need to refresh the wifi connection on my watch . A reboot of the Laptop is often required . After that it is perfect for that session .
That the only correct way to do it. You have to redo if your wifi connect on your watch is disconnected due to time out. Do a search on this u will come across something i posted to resolve the wifi connection.
@gublersghost: If the issue is only intermittent, then please try checking the USB port on your S23 Ultra, and clear any dust or debris you might find with a soft bristled brush or compressed air. Also, try heading to Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow to the right of 'Your apps' > Show system apps (toggle this on) > OK > USBSettings > Force stop > Storage > Clear cache > Clear data, then restart your device. If you have access to another compatible USB cable or headphones, I recommend trying them to see if the issue persists, as the issue may be stemming from your existing accessories.
Im having issues as well. I have a few different USB-C devices that give me an AUX input and none of them work. My phone acts like it isnt even connected to an AUX cord even though it is.
I dont get any crackling/pops. I get absolutely nothing.
My USB-C port is crystal clear, no fuzz or dust of any kind. It looks flawless, 0 damage.
Thank you for the detailed solution! It worked perfectly for my S23 Ultra. For anyone else experiencing similar issues, I highly recommend following these steps. It could save you a lot of time and frustration! Tried with compressed air and alcohol solution to no avail before getting to this post. +rep to AndrewL.
Hi Andrew, will it be possible to enable the USBsettings app Force Stop button back? Since it will be greyed out after clicking it and won't be back on even shutdown or restarting it several times with no luck. Thanks!
I've had this issue since about 3 months after getting the phone. My wife's got same phone as well and hers stopped charging right away and has had to use a wireless charger constantly which is a real bumber for her cas it takes forever to charge that way. But there's definitely something wrong with their usb type c charge ports in s22's being loose and having to hold ur cable to keep it charging which has been an issue since we each bought the phone. Only fix I see is either replace usb c port(skilled) or just get new phone
I just Googled "Samsung Bluray http disabled"' and found this interesting link on another forum. Looks like either manually configuring a DNS server address on the Blu-Ray player or manually configuring a static IP, gateway address and DNS server address works.
I have a Samsung Bluray BD E5300. It used to work fine for 4 years. Then one day it decided it didn't want to connect to the internet anymore. I have been online for over six months looking for a solution. It is the final connection 'Internet Service Test' that is having the 'HTTP port is disabled' message. I have tried every 'trick' out there. It is not the router I have come to realize. The player was originally connected to one service provider with its router and now it is connected to a different one in a different town. So I believe it is the actual player that is the culprit. Any new suggestions out there? I'm just about ready to toss it out and buy a new one.
Finally!!!! The firmware update did the trick. After trying two different service providers, I came to the conclusion it was the player and not the router. I hope everyone else out there sees this who thinks it is an IP address issue.
I spent an entire day with Samsung Support without success and they advised to contact the approved local repair center. I decided against it as I had had a rather negative experience when said repair center fried my laptop while performing a simple repair and then attempted to charge me to replace the motherboard (they had fried). Besides, I was sure it was a software Windows 11 issue so there was no point trying to go to a business that makes a profit replacing parts.
Samsung devices will not charge if moisture is present in the charging port when it is plugged in. This is a preventative measure added to avoid corrosion, and you will still be able to charge with a wireless charger on supported devices. A popup message will display in the event a charger is plugged in while moisture is present in the charging port.
Hi there, @chesterchessington. That's odd, and I appreciate you reaching out to the Community about this. The charger should fit snugly in the USB port of your S22 Ultra once it's connected. It should never wobble or feel loose. This would indicate, of course, that something is impeding the connection.
I appreciate that you've already checked the charging port for dust and debris, and have satisfied yourself that it is clean and clear. Are you, however, using a case or cover on your phone? If so, then this might have an impact on how snugly (or not) the cable or connection would fit.
I have an S21, and exactly the same thing happens to me, about every 4 to 6 months. Even when I think the port is clean, I manage to scrape a little more dust/lint out with a thinned-down wooden toothpick. Works every time, though! My pockets must be really dusty . If you have a 3D printer, there are models available for USB-C covers. I'm printing one today!
I have Samsung Odyssey G7 32'' and I have connected cable usb-b (printer connector on monitor?) to usb-c but it does nothing ? only shows that display connection might be limited, when I connect smartphone it doesn't charge. So what is usb-b 3.0 or is it 3.1 or 3.2 ? What is is for ? The USB-A both charging phones..
U didn't get my point what I was asking .. I know what ports are .. But don't understand why they put usb-b into monitor as it does nothing .. I have purchased usb-b to usb-c cable and it doesn't even charge phone only saying your connection is limited when connected to laptop
It's called a "Display Port" in this image (not from Samsung, admittedly), but it's clearly not (the Samsung documentation even calls it "mini VGA" somewhere, which isn't a thing). It's the right general shape, but not even close to the right proportions, to be a mini-displayport, but it actually looks like micro USB. That left me thinking it's micro-HDMI or maybe , but that seems odd with a full-size HDMI port already just a few inches away.
Samsung makes a specialty connector for like $40, but is it really proprietary? Is it just MHL or Slimport? Searching Amazon for "Series 7 VGA Adapter" suggests it's micro HDMI, but I'm hoping for confirmation before I order something.
I found this other question that makes me feel like I'm out of luck buying anything except the official adapter - it seems to suggest that what port it is depends on what size the laptop is and it's not consistent at all. That's unfortunate
on Sunday [07/19/20 ] this all started happening, I put the phone galaxy M40 in charge within a few seconds I observed smoke comes out of my phone charging port. So I was lucky near the phone so no disaster has happened and unplug the phone from the charger and kept the phone off for more than 2 hours. Then I tried to charge the phone in switch off state post that no response from the phone it was today dead condition.
Reg this I contacted the Samsung customer service, on Monday and explained the above detail. They asked me to hand over the phone to customer service nearby. I went there and hand over the phone and spent nearly 2:30 hours to get the customer service response and attention. since I like to know the reason behind the smoke I asked the service center person. They replied as motherboard short circuit and liquid damage. I have seen the board, to understand about liquid damage. Since there is no chance of water entering into the phone.
I could see a small white line trace on the top of the charging board metal cover. No other watermark or water spill is seen in the board and the service center person also said it does not happen recently this water line trace seems to happen long before not in recent days. And the service center person has also confirmed that the Liquide damage indicator [LDI]is not activated in the device. so it confirms that's no changes of water enter into the phone.
