It is my solemn duty to announce that a new Thursday has recently been manufactured, and will be deployed THIS COMING THURSDAY at the Red BULL in NEWNHAM. Obviously, since this Thursday has only just left the assembly-line it has not yet been fully-tested for health and safety, so I have nominated you all as crash-test dummies in order that this essential task can be carried out. Many of you are, of course, disposable, but we fondly hope that most of you will survive - albeit possibly in a somewhat-rearranged format.

Your hare will be the legendary Sloth Orgy, who has prepared a test-harness consisting of a trail of flour-blobs with bicycle-traffic and added alcohol, since this is likely to prove the most health-and-safety-challenging combination. I understand that shrubbery of various sorts has also been added, mostly to provide some Greenwashing to the PR for the whole industrial-testing scenario, but also to ensure that after the run you can look forward to a good hour or two of pulling the embedded seeds, thorns and burrs out of your socks with your teeth. Or, in fact, someone else's teeth, should these suddenly become available on the hash after an heath-and-safety incident.

The trail will start in the distant village of Newnham, an eye-watering 0.9 miles from Great St. Marys. For those of you who still haven't worked out which way up Cambridge is on the map-thing, Mr. Google can help you if you invoke his magic spell on your fondle-slab : https://maps.app.goo.gl/LiLEfuysWFJrTx7R9 The pub does good food ( https://www.redbullcambridge.co.uk/food ) and the kitchen closes at 9pm, meaning those of you who survive with enough limbs left to run on will make it back in good time to order food.

Those amongst you with more than peasant-level education will no doubt have noticed that this date coincides with the anniversary of a rebellion of our Colonial Subjects a couple of hundred years ago. Suitable attire should be therefore considered . IT SHOULD BE NOTED that there have been rumours of ... regime-change... in our own beloved and eternally-ruled kingdom, although my dedicated secret policehood have been assiduously rooting out and eating any rebellious miscreants deluded enough to think that they can depose me. The have also sneaked into Scuddies Boatyard and sunk the BattlePunt Aurora, ensuring that the signal traditional to start such events cannot in fact occur. However, revolutions happen anyway, so make sure you are there on Thursday to ensure that Madame La Guillotine has been properly sharpened...
