TVRG Update

Good evening everyone.

Thames Valley Repeater group (TVRG)

I wanted to let you know of a change in the membership of our group.  After some 50 years of leadership and service across TVRG and its predecessor the Berkshire Downs Repeater Group, Chris, G4CCC, one of the founder members, has decided to step down and “retire” from the group.  On behalf of TVRG and the wider amateur radio community my heartfelt thanks go to Chris for all he has done in that time.

Going forward please feel free to contact me directly or other TVRG members as per the contact information on the website.  (See Contacts – Thames Valley Repeater Group.)

The running and operation of the repeaters will remain unchanged, except for GB3AW the UHF repeater for the Newbury and Andover areas where there may be additional news in the next few weeks.

Morning all.  I mentioned in my last TVRG message that there may be changes regarding the GB3AW repeater near Newbury (GB3AW – Thames Valley Repeater Group).  We are having to undertake a relatively small relocation due to changes at the existing site and as a result the repeater will be temporarily off the air from about 5pm today.  While there is some variability due to other operations at the site, assuming everything goes to plan the repeater should be back on the air in 4-6 weeks.  73 Tony G8TEE.
