Hi All,
Just to confirm numbers and arrangements for the YOTA contest on Monday 29th;
QTH: Levers Piece Farm, Ryehurst Lane, Binfield. RG42 5QZ
Time: 10am until everyone has had enough.
Callsign: G1TCG
Exchange = RS(T) & average age, 14.
Bands: 80-10m SSB & CW
Catering: Tea, Coffee, hot chocolate & juice with Hotdogs at lunchtime. (Please let me know any dietary requirements and feel free to bring anything else you want).

Operators;
Teddy Kerner, (7)
Paul (XPN)’s two (17&19)
Ed’s son (13)
Ed’s daughter (16)
Toby (15), M7TBQ
Remy (10)
Austin’s son (9)
Callum (25)
Thomas (9)

Accompanying adults;
Nick Kerner (M0NPK)
Ali Kerner (M7KGA)
Paul (G4HLF)
Paul (M9XPN)
Chris (M0TVA)
Ed (M8GSY)
Austin (M7OOB)
Callum (M9SRC)
And anyone else who’s available to help out, or just come and join in the fun, please let me know?

My aim is to have two operating positions, (each on separate bands). A run station for calling CQ and a multi-station to search and pounce for multipliers. Logging will be with DxLog and 2 headsets at each position so someone can listen in to assist as required. For preparation, I would suggest that knowledge of the standard phonetic alphabet would be useful and, if possible, an idea of what a QSO exchange will consist of. eg.
RUN “CQ contest, G1TCG GQTCG contest”
DX  “DL3ABC”
RUN “DL3ABC 5&9 14”
DX “5&9 56”
RUN “Thank You, G1TCG Contest”

Any other questions or suggestions, please let me know. Cheers, NK

Kind regards,
Nick Kerner

Thanks Nick and all taking part, that's a good number of young operators.  The event was also posted out to  all the local social media groups and R9/10/11 RSGB groups.

Good luck with YOTA and listen out for the Ireland Scouting Group EI25YOTA who are also taking part on the 29th and will also be listening out for us 👍🏼

Good luck all.
Kind regards
Colin M0XCA
