Some may know there are 3 local operators on the Yeasu Fusion network with Gateways into the system using simple on UHF.

Garry G4FLY on 434.5000    -   MB6IRT
Dave G0TKV on 434.5125   -    MB6IOX

Mine has a been set to connect to the Southern Fusion Group (thank you Denis G4KWT) to give greater coverage in this mode. You can change the room or network with the radio.

Make use of these gateways as there put on for all to use.

Hi All

Bit of an update for those who have got Yaesu radios and not tried their local Gateway (mini repeater) or somebodies Gateway (Hotspot set to Fusion)
On you Yaesu radio which has the fusion system inbuilt you will have a red "X" button and all you need to do is put the radio on the frequency and press the Red X for a  seconds and the radio will signal out in digital mode to see if the Gateway is reachable operational. (if it's being used at the time you will/could hear communication) Join in at the end of an over when the Gateway stops transmitting as it will not hear you because its simplex.

If connected you will get a rising set of tones and the screen will change showing the room that it may be connected too.
You can change rooms by inserting a room number CQ UK is #29973  or American Link #21080  or Hub Net #41461 with many more to select from.
Be polite and don't change rooms while there is a QSO taking place wait until the QSO is finished and the Gateway is not transmitting. My Gateway will return to the Southern Fusion Group after a default time out but it's polite to send a disconnect signal which is 59's  #999999 and the Gateway will disconnect from the room it's on and return to its defaults in about 30 seconds (Southern Fusion Group - South Coast Repeaters )  GB3SH / GB3SU / GB7MT / GB7IV

FYI these Gateways are not on all the time 24/7 due to licencing NOV conditions and are there for you to use.
If you need further help please ask.
