On Thursday 26th June we welcome Nick "the vic" M0NTV in person for a talk entitled "40m on a Glue-Stick: A homebrew all-analogue, all-discrete Direct Conversion Receiver".

An ordained Methodist minister, musician and a true creative force, Nick is a prolific home constructor. He designs and builds his own stuff whilst standing on the shoulders of giants eg. Eamon Skelton EI9GQ and Rev. George Dobbs G3RJV + loads more. What's unusual is well how Nick documents, records and shares what he does. His enthusiasm for building is infectious. A rare talent indeed. His local club is the Flight Refuelling Amateur Radio Society in Wimborne, Dorset which quite a few members will be familiar with from their rally. It'll be a great evening.

That Nick requested he come to Reading rather than giving the talk via zoom is a measure of his energy and enthusiasm.

So come along to the club on Thursday for some traditional homebrew!
