I have made the 20W EFHW transformer by MM0OPX which you can see on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri4Q-eJ9l8s&t=26s

The same PCB and ferrite can be used to make a 9:1 or 7:1 transformer for a random wire.
I bought in bulk to get the parts, so I have 3 kits available at cost price of £6 each. The only extra parts required are:

Fair-Rite – 264362500 Type 43 ferrite core
Antenna wire
(Optional wire-winder)

All these are available from sotabeams.co.uk or other suppliers.

See attached photos.

I will bring the parts to the Construction Group Meeting on Thursday or let me know and I can bring them to a meeting at the scout hut.

Hi Dave,

Nice to see that you have built one. I let Colin know!

He says that you’ve popped the wrong part number down for the core. Should be 2643625002

Cheers!

Kind Regards

That's the cable core that I use on my 49:1  unun. Very efficient and happy running 100W SSB.

Thanks Jonathan, sorry I missed the 2 off the end when I copied it from the BOM.

It should read:

Fair-Rite –  2643625002 Type 43 ferrite core

It looks like this: https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/toroid-2643625002-type-43/
