Dear Members,

As David Honey has already mentioned RADARC are running radio kit building and a JOTA HF station at the 103rd Reading Scout Hut on Saturday 16th October. This year we will be building FM radio kits.
The event runs from 10:00-16:00 with station setup at 9am.

We would very much appreciate any assistance from members with set up, tear down or help building kits or operating during the event. Even if you can just pop by for half an hour it could give someone else a break.
You may enjoy it too, I always find it very rewarding - especially when you see the cub or scout's face when they get their kit going!
If you can't make it, do have a listen for our station and other JOTA stations on HF, the scouts/cubs would love someone to chat with.

Please let me know if you would like to come along, and if you would like some lunch as the scouts are kindly providing buffet lunch for helpers.

The scout hut is located in Kensington Park, off Oxford Road.  There's a car park that's free for 2hours (you still need a ticket), if you're here longer than 2 hours, bring some change as the RingGo parking app doesn't work.  The Hut is diagonally opposite the car park.

REMINDER:

It looks like there will be quite a few scouts/cubs attending the below JOTA event this weekend, so any help with the kit building class during the day would be much appreciated, please see details below.

Dear Members,

RADARC are once again running radio kit building and a JOTA HF station at the 103rd Reading Scout Hut on Saturday 21st October. This year we will be building FM radio kits.
The event usually runs from 10:00-16:00 with station setup at 9am, but I will confirm the exact timing nearer the date.

We would very much appreciate any assistance from members with set up, tear down, helping to build kits or operating HF during the event.

Please let me know if you would like to come along and help, and if you would like some lunch as the scouts usuall kindly provide a buffet lunch for helpers (TBC).

The scout hut is located in Kensington Park, off Oxford Road.  There's a car park that's free for 2 hours (you still need a ticket).  The Hut is diagonally opposite the car park.
