Folks,
It's the RADARC Great Construction Contest on Thursday 13th November at 8pm!
You can attend either in person at the Scout hut or online via zoom (details at end of email). However the best experience will undoubtedly be in the scout hut:

As usual, entrants will give a short (5 minutes or so) talk on their entry.
There are TWO cups to be won, as voted by the whole membership in attendance. Software, hardware, old technology, new technology: all is valid and gets its chance on account of cleverness, quality of construction, complexity or simple brilliance - they all count toward the popular vote for the winner and runner up cups, to be presented on the night.
Everything is good. DSP, software or valves, a clean breadboard, a special mod to commercial gear, a beautifully built kit or the creative use of a lathe. Members decide whether your efforts outclass all the rest. It's not necessary to bring the top band full size vertical you made to the scout hut: photographs and a description of antennas are most welcome.
Like last year, there will be a special prize for newcomers.
It's also a great opportunity for sharing ideas and inspiring others to have a go at what you're up to.
If you think "well my project couldn't win" then I assure you, you may be surprised.

Refreshments will be available at the scout hut so please bring a mug if you wish to partake of tea/coffee with biscuits, as usual.
