Dear All,
RADARC will be taking part in the SSB Field Day this weekend 2nd & 3rd September, at Sonning (please see website/Discord for details) so now seems a good time to invite you to visit the site, show your support for the competing operators and take a few pics for the RADARC Photo Competition.

Here are the details of the Photo Competition:

Introduction
A fun competition open to all club members who are not professionally involved in photography.

The emphasis is on a light-hearted approach, more about the idea and spirit than technical expertise. No need to fork out for a Hassleblad; your mobile phone camera or point and shoot will be just fine.

Subject
The subject is “Amateur Radio” in all it’s forms, divided into 2 sections.

1) People - taking part in amateur radio activities. This could be operating, constructing, antenna erection, testing even buying kit in store!

2) Kit - Anything relating to the hobby, rig pics, antenna farms, software displays etc. creative, quirky and unusual will trump straight, factual shots. Imagination is king here.

Entries
Up to10 entries per category per person, that is a maximum of 20 entries total per person.

Please post your entries to me: a...@acestudios.co.uk

For clarity, please state which category each photograph is for. I will collate and hold entries till the judging and result date.

Submission Dates
From now till 31st December 2023.

Judging & Results
Judging and results will be in during a Winter meeting TBA. All entry photographs will be shown at the meeting using a reference number instead of entrant’s name.

Attending and online members will become judges by voting in the same way as they do for the Constructors’ Competition.

Results will be announced at the meeting.

Please join in the fun and I look forward to receiving your entries.

Wishing the competing team good fortune and looking forward to seeing visitors and their cameras over the weekend.
