National Trails Day planning

Our club is organizing a local observance of National Trails Day on Saturday, June 5.

If you'd like to help with the planning, please let me know by email! 

The main activity is a "Trail Scramble" (I'd happily entertain other ideas for the name). Here's the plan so far:

- Participants get a card that lists 6-8 trails

- A time schedule indicates when someone will be at each trailhead to stamp cards

- Masking and social distancing will be required (unless things improve drastically by then)

- Earn 3 stamps and you can redeem a coupon on the back of the card

We need to line up businesses to offer coupons. We will also need people to help at the trailheads.

There will be some kind of a trail-related service project and it looks like the folks at Guardian will produce a special brew in honor of the day.
