Day of Forests Hike at Huyser Farm Park, Friday, March 20, 2026 @ 10:30 AM
The International Day of Forests is celebrated annually to raise awareness about the importance of all types of forests and trees outside forests. Established by the United Nations, this day encourages countries to undertake local, national, and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree-planting campaigns.
We’ll meet at 10:30 am in the parking lot on 64th St., south of 142nd Ave. in Laketown Township, a few miles north of Saugatuck. This park has a lovely trail with a forest, a pond, dunes, blueberry bushes, and more. Dress appropriately for the weather. We’ll walk about 3 miles on mainly flat trails.
