Wednesday, July 16, is National Hot Dog Day. We will celebrate this august occasion by ending our hike at Douglas’ iconic Root Beer Barrel, where they have six kinds of hot dogs to choose from!
Our route will combine part of the Beach to Bayou Trail and a brand new trail through what used to be the West Shore Golf Club.
We’ll meet at 10:30 at the corner of Center and Ferry Streets in Douglas, by the Root Beer Barrel. If you fancy a cup of coffee before the hike, Woosah is right there!

There is public parking on Center Street and south of the Barrel on Ferry Street. Please don’t park in the Barrel’s lot.
