scribble/acmart leads to xstring.sty issue

This is really a TeX question, not a scribble question, but I feel as though I’m going to get a faster answer here… I’m trying to use scribble/acmart to generate a PDF, and TeX is complaining about xstring.sty being missing. I’m sure this is my fault somehow, but I can’t quite figure out how.

Here’s my input file:

I’m using Tex Live 2018 as installed by macports (specifically with sudo port upgrade texlive), and getting this output in DrRacket (follows text). If anyone sees this and knows what the problem is instantly, I’d be grateful!

I've got TeX-Live 2017 (downloaded directly and installed via their
installer) and it runs for me.

Does the equivalent latex work in the 2018 version?

Fixed. Note for posterity: it turns out that in macports, the default texlive installation does not include the “full” version of several packages that are required in order to successfully compile scribble/acmart documents. The web page

turned out to be very helpful in determining which packages needed to be fully installed in order to fix my various problems.
