i find cura doesn't seem to do a very good job at judging the flow rate required when printing at high speeds. unless its more dependent on what material you're using. ive been printing a lot of abs and while printing at 100 mm/s (with increased temp to compensate for the speed) i still have to up the flow rate to 120% to get proper bed/layer adhesion

i set the initial layer speed to 50 mm/s which i know is fast but the increased flow rate is able to compensate for it. i find bondage between layers is still pretty bad if i dont increase the flow rate though.

I have the D1 pro. I attached a usb digital microscope on the laser head and centered it with a paper cross hairs. 8 out of 10 times it would home precisely 2 out of 10 it would be off. I contribute the homing error to the speed which the laser head contacts the limit switches. Hence the reason to slow down the final homing speed

I have made all the proper adjustment to the belt tensions. $24 is set to 25. The xtool limit switch tolerances are just ok but can be improves with a slower homing speed. like I mentioned, 8 out 10 times it is accurate. However, I strive for perfection if possbile.

I'm trying to do a "speed ramp" effect. I've setup key frames in effects controls and tried to do it on the clip in the sequence and for some reason, it won't let me adjust the speed. When I go to move the bar on the clip in the sequence the little blue bar thing appears when I hover over the center but it wont let me move it. I also can't change the 100% level in the effects controls.

i've never used iMovie before; all i'm doing is speeding up a screen record of me editing a photo, but i can't adjust the speed controls; they're grayed out in the control bar. it says to add my clip to a project before i can use it but my clip is in a project. i've seen the same question in different discussions and tried everything that was mentioned and nothing worked. i can't switch off wrapped timeline, in the window tab "show clip trimmer" is grayed out and the speed controls in the modify tab are grayed out as well. i'm using version 10.1.1. is there anything else i can do to get around this?

The speed control in the control bar at the upper right hand corner of your screen should appear when you select a video clip (not a photo) in the timeline, by clicking on it. If that does not happen, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys, and then selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. See if that solves it.

I've got my printers running between 18-25mm/s for the first layer, because I want to ensure things stick well, and at faster speeds I sometimes get problems. However, what's important here is mostly the perimeters. When it comes to the infill, it could go faster and still be reliable. For the rest of the layers, you can set speeds separately for the different feature types. Is there any way to get the infill to print faster than the perimeters on the first layer?

Go to Print Settings/Speed/Modifiers/First layer speed: and change it to 100% make sure to add the %. Then add a Height range modifier to the first layer, you can simply right click on the object and add Height range modifier, set the range from 0 to 0.2 or whatever the height of your first layer is. Then add the features you want to control the speed of to the modifier, for example External perimeters, perimeters, Small perimeters, Solid infill etc, then you can set the speed of the first layer features separately to anything you like, and they will be respected by the slicer.

Your welcome, I know a great deal more about Prusa slicer but have refrained from offering the information based on the general information the average user has here (hobbyists with little or no knowledge). I call them Sheep, and they make it very difficult to express pertinent information here. In most cases I would be considered a user with an attitude by the hobbyists for expressing what I know to the masses. Some have even called me a trouble maker. There loss. I have many such work rounds 2.6 is junk and I mean that sincerely.

On the front of the camera, at your right hand side, there is a button. Around that button is a lever with the letter "L". This is the function for Locking the settings for shutterspeed. Turn it back again, and you will be able to change your shutterspeed.

Just for future reference for yourself...sometimes its quicker/easier to just edit the acf file instead of opening planemaker. In cases like that you can use any text editor, open the acf file and just search for the term "trim_time". You'll see a few trim entries pop up such as elevator trim time and rudder trim time as well as aileron trim time. Those are the ones you'd be wanting to change. The higher you make the number the less sensitive the trim will be.

I find I need to do this with many aircraft because my yoke uses trim A plus trim B (its a honeycomb yoke which uses twin trim buttons) and it has an effect of using twice the amount of trim per press unfortunately...so I will often slow the elevator trim down some so its easier to trim out at high speed and I can hand-fly instead of always turning on the a/p.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I KNEW there was something fishy with the trim sensitivity with my new Honeycomb yoke. So I guess I have to edti the .acf file for every aircraft I fly? Ugh lol. There's no way to adjust sensitivity globally in X-Plane?

Hi, I wondered if you could help me, I am having same issues with the honeycomb yoke and duall trim, could you explain exactly what I have to do to solve this. I understand I need to adjust the acf file but where will I find it and what changes should, would these chnages apply to all planes? I make I am suing a mac computer.

Looking for the cure to the same problem G-ROGE was having, and happy to find this. Great Job to you G! So my question is does anyone knowwhat the other tabs (Phase Out? etc) control? I think it's a shame that this was not addressed in the plane maker manual.

You're right, adjusting mouse wheel sensitivity depends on your OS. For Windows, navigate to Control Panel > Mouse > Wheel tab. On MacOS, go to System Preferences > Mouse/Trackpad > Scrolling speed. Some mouse software may offer settings too. Adjust to your liking!

Is there a way to adjust the mouse pointer speed for each individual monitor? I'm running two equally sized monitors, one is 4K, the other is 1080p, which means everything on the 1080p monitor is twice as large and moves twice as fast relative to the display area. What I'd like to do is have the mouse pointer switch to a lower speed when on the 1080p monitor. This should be doable with drivers or some scripting. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I can figure things out from there myself.

Here's a solution that worked for me - go into Mouse Properties -> Pointer Options and tick 'Enhance pointer precision'. This causes pointer velocity to be consistent across screens with different resolutions.

I had the same problem, so I wrote an application to set mouse speed per monitor. Source code (C#) is available; it's in the same ZIP as the executable. The program works by changing mouse sensitivity when the mouse pointer crosses a border.
