I understand that you may be busy and probably a lot of other supporting requests have been made, however, as I am positive that my two Corsair devices should be replaced (or at least the WIFI dongles) - please kindly advise/solve.

dongle keyboard not working

Following the opening of two supporting ticket (+ me being less impatient than usual) Corsair support team has started to look into my issues and as a result I will receive the replacement (keyboard) on this coming Friday. I have already received a replacement dongle for my mouse. There was a need to update the mouse (and the dongle) firmware knowing that this could potentially lead to the double-click (also) known issue. It did not happen.

them few seconds later a mandatory firmware upgrade available for
K57 RGB Wireless Keyboard after finish all this (i restar after each step
just in case) my usb dongle still rip and no way out

I just made an account to post this.

I've been having this same issue with this keyboard for like, over 2 years. And the Ironclaw RGB mouse.

They do not like being used wirelessly, then charged with a wire, then trying to use them wirelessly again. They work wirelessly, then I plug the cable in, get "USB device not recognized" 45 times until I restart the computer, or restart ICUE and then they decide they want to work again.

It's absolutely maddening. I put in tickets. I did all the troubleshooting. I reinstalled and uninstalled and reinstalled and uninstalled ICUE. I wiped it out of the registry. I've updated firmware. It literally doesn't matter with these pieces of crap. At this point, the number of hours I've put into trying to get these things to work just isn't worth the hassle. I'm just waiting until I can afford to justify replacing them with Logitech.

Just got home from a long day at work. Wireless Ironclaw was using the cable. Keyboard running wirelessly and then died. "No biggie, I'll just plug it in." Wouldn't work, in wired mode. "Cable must be dead." Nope, popped it back into the mouse and the mouse started charging. Tried other USB ports. Tried unplugging the dongle. Restarted ICUE. Restarted machine. Then finally, FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON, I unplugged the keyboard again for the 12th time, and plugged it back in, and NOW it decides it will work in wired mode.

I've been using wireless keyboard and mice for DECADES. They have a dongle. They work with the dongle. They charge with the wire. That's it. I never needed to install oppressive software and most importantly, I never needed to CONSTANTLY fight with them to get them to work.

I trusted Corsair, because I had really good experiences with their other hardware, but goddamn, I will NEVER buy their wireless keyboard/mice again. Something is majorly wrong with ICUE and the functionality. It's a shame, because the design and aesthetics are on point.

EDIT: I lied, apparently I already had an account? I see my post history is all just me complaining about these two items.

I am having the exact same issue - installed fine on first use. Tried to charge via USB cable when I received notification of low battery. Now the keyboard no longer connects to the wireless dongle. (This is the K57 Keyboard and Mouse bundle) - have used dozens of other wireless keyboards in the past with no connectivity issues. I am going to try the reset method as described in the previous post and send an update if it works. I will also note that the ICUE software is not very good. I uninstalled it completely and was able to connect without it but it constantly tells me there are updates that then fail after multiple attempts. The software needs work.

When I have my wireless mouse dongle plugged in (Razor Deathadder v2 pro) grub doesn't detect my WIRED USB keyboard. The only way I can get it to work is by unplugging my dongle, and rebooting. When the dongle isn't in, the keyboard works just fine in grub.

I had a similar problem that I resolved by changing a bios setting. One of the fast boot bios settings on my motherboard prevented the system from scanning the USB devices on power up. That prevented the o/s from seeing the USB attached dongle. I disable the fast boot option and that resolved my issue.

I have literally the same problem with Razer Deathadder V2 Hyperspeed. When USB dongle is plugged in I cannot use laptop keyboard. On first key press the countdown disappears and I cannot select anything and I must reset the laptop. Even pressing enter as the first key does not boot Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.It does not occur every time, but like 90% of boots.

I have this Logitech MK345 Mouse/Keyboard Combo plugged into my PC through the provided USB dongle. My mouse works exactly as it should, however the keyboard will randomly stop working. Things I have tried to get the keyboard to work again

Reinstall the driver by going to This Computer->Computer->System Properties->Device Manager. There will be an option for Keyboards and a separate option for Mice. Since these work off one dongle they may be grouped in one or the other option. Uninstall and delete the local data for the driver. Unplug the dongle, plug it in to a different port for the plug-n-play to install it again.

I don't think my fresh Windows install was part of the solution but I did do it the day before I disabled backward compatibility in BIOS for USB devices so you may also want to try that. I definitely still had the problem after the clean Windows install before I made the change to the BIOS.

Question: How do they coexist without interfering with each other? (Is there a limit to the number I could have in an office space?) And what if it all gets mixed up, Is there a simple method of sorting them all out?

--EDIT: One lesson has certainly been learned. I should never have installed the keyboards and mice before the move. We don't know when, but I know it will happen eventually. I should have just kept these new ones in their original boxes and made the upgrade part of the eventual move, one at a time.

There are at least two types of Logitech dongles (the modern ones, without "pairing" button). The newer ones are so-called "unified receivers" and marked with orange flower-like logo. The "unified receivers" can be modified with Logitech software and can be paired with any qualified device.

Older dongles (of exactly same shape) were paired only to the particular device, so they must be kept together, and usually the devices have an internal compartment to hold the dongle. Yes, it is inconvenient.

Each Logitech RF device has an unique identifier out of 65,000 available, and proprietary Logitech RF communication uses 78 channels (in 2.4GHz band). This white paper from Logitech indicates that interference-free communication can work up to 78 devices in 10m proximity.

The USB dongles are usually "Logitech unifying receivers" and, while initially paired with a particular device, are not permanently tied to it. You can pair a device with the dongle using Logitech's software.

The dongle and the mouse/keyboard have a "connect" button on them, usually red. Press the connect on dongle, then on the keyboard. Repeat for the mouse. Now they are "connected" and won't talk to or hear other dongles, mice, or keyboards. No clue about limits though.

Note: I have been using the Targus Combo Adapter for hdmi video but let's not blame the adapter right away - it might be two separate issues: The keyboard was connected to the adapter which was connected via USB-C for a week. The laptop's lid was closed. The keyboard was generally fine. When the adapter was taken off, often it would crash or reset the computer. I reset the PRAM and SMC which didn't have any effect.

Now I have connected the keyboard DIRECTLY to the laptop but it does not power up the caps lock light nor the mouse that's connected to it. Sometimes the keys record input but VERY slowly (1 second delay per key) and eventually stops working. This is same with all USB-C ports. The keyboards work with my other Mac without any problems.

I've also checked the ports - they power my iPhone as well as the mouse directly. I've also restarted the computer. Right now, video works but I cannot use the keyboard. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand your USB keyboards are no longer working with your MacBook Pro. It sounds like you've already taken some great steps to resolve this issue.

Hello there,
I recently received an HP mouse, HP Keyboard, and corresponding USB dongle. The problem is that the keyboard and mouse refuse to connect to the dongle. From what I can tell, the dongle works (blue light flashes when plugged in, drivers download as expected), the mouse works (laser works and responds to movement), and I have no reason to believe that the keyboard does not work (though it has no indicator lights or power switch) as they are unused and straight from HP. Batteries are new as well. I've tried plugging it in in all of my available USB ports on multiple laptops to no avail. The pairing process should be to hold the blue "Connect" button on the bottom of the mouse or keyboard for 5-10 seconds, then the dongle will display a blue light indicating the synchronization. This does not occur. The mouse has the model number MG-0982, the corresponding USB dongle has model number RG-0983 and from what I understand came from HP with the mouse. The keyboard is model number KG-1061 (I actually have two of these keyboards).
Any help with this baffling situation would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
tect

P.S. I assume the "Notebook Hardware and Upgrade Questions" board is meant for other questions, but I couldn't find a board that closely related to this problem. Apologies in advance.

On your Windows 10 device PC, click Settings > Devices > Bluetooth. When your device appears in the Bluetooth window, click it, then click Pair. Click yes to confirm the passcode matches on both the device and the computer. Wait a few seconds while both devices are paired. You can also use the Bluetooth device pairing wizard to connect your devices.
