Hello! I got my Lenovo tablet 2-1050F ( Mfg Date: 2014-12-23) in January of 2015 , I wasn't frequently getting on my tablet more than once every 3 day and sometimes I decide to use it and I find that the battery is empty, while there were no applications left open that may cause the battery discharge. Today and after three days of non-use the Tablet... I found the battery empty, I plugged in the original charger but nothing worked even the light around the Bush button key.
My Yoga 2 (2014) was on standby overnight and crashed. Zero battery all next day, refused to charge, did power on power off, ran check up, ect, no good. Now just did steps 3 and 4 above and to my surprise it's charging. Can see it's working by power monitor plus wall power pack is heating up per normal. I suspect battery voltage was abnormally low and charger was confused but what does holding power button for 20 sec do?
Hello, i have a problem with my lenovo yoga tab8 , its reeboot when i whant to charge or when i connect to the pc , it dont stop, its reboot and reboot, on the screen its writen tool dl image file! and i cant connect with my pc to solve with sp flash , please help ....
On my tablet, there was a third hidden screw under the opposite side of the label that I peeled to find the first hidden screw. Be sure that you locate *all* the screws before trying to pry the case open...
I have to dismount back cover and disconnect PRIMARY (rechargable) battery. After it - shortcutting RECOVERY battery (small button battery - connected thru blue and red wire) for erase recovered memory.
I find using the genuine Lenovo products leads chargers replaced twice just as quarantee expires Lenovo Tab2 10/30 lost life .I believe battery issue might be he is lifeless too needs replacing .Left it charging went up to 30% soon went down to nil by leaving alone overnight .No charging happening might have to go hospital services department for check over and replacement recommended be vital .I need of bringing life back into him/she .Any idea how much battery cost anything else in health record I have ongoing private health insurance in place .
Go to Lenovo website there you will find Lenovo listed menu of all answers and questions also chat talk to all issues to topics found it very valuable site .Not just Lenovo click in on most branded devices find solutions even buying eccessories .Don't recommend charging devices over night nor over 3day period not ideal 3days is definitely a no/no also damage your devices .Leave for a few hours then check if battery is charging leave 5/6hrs don't need a full charge 80%is best scale as it will keep devices in good working order for much longer

As I have this problem plus following guideline information on many sights still Lenovo 2 tab was completely dead having bought it mid 2015 .It is in the repair stores due back within next few days .I can report back here the electrical engineer report might be of some help to you people .I have a monthly general domestic repair and support insurance I took out when purchasing Lenovo I'm glad I did as it does cover this device for damage no matter how caused plus eccessaries if unrepairable I get a new one or voucher to redeem .Will report back soon hope I can guide you what might be the issue .My gut feeling is dead battery's or jack point damage I think that's what you call it, or gateway charging unit .

This 20 seconds holding the power button thing worked perfectly. My tablet turned on in about 16 seconds. It is working and charging just fine now, like nothing happened. Weird. But thanks for the tip!
On my Lenovo X1 Extreme laptop, I had a similar problem. I was able to restart it by resetting it. I found a pinhole on the back (bottom) of the laptop, used a thin wire (an unbent paperclip or something similar), inserted it into the pinhole, and pressed down for about 5 or 10 seconds ("long" press). The laptop was then able to power on. I don't know if that will work for your laptop, but it might be worth a try.
Hi everone, I hope I can find some help in this forum for my problems with my egpu. In December I bought the Racer Core X alongside with the Lenovo Yoga 730. I get more graphics power, no problems with detecting the gpu etc, in that aspect, everyting works fine. But there is one thing that is making my head ache a lot. It's the fact that the laptop is not being charged while using the egpu. Nor through the case itself, nor through the standard powercable from Lenovo. I tried my luck on the Razer Core support, which was very friendly and did his best to help me, but couldn't tell me more than they would contact me if they solved it (so far nothing).
Any help is appreciated.
@mattb so if you plug the original charger and the eGPU at the same time you are unable to charge right? and as soon you disconnect the eGPU the yoga starts to charge with the original charger connected? that would be very weird, I think you would have to contact Lenovo instead of Razer, seems more like a laptop problem, do you have another TB3 device that charges laptops? I know it could be very stupid to ask, but have you tried only connecting the eGPU without the lenovo charger, if not maybe that is the reason that it doesn't know how to negotiate which source of power to use.
Hi, thanks for your answer. So there are several different approaches I tried:
razer core only--> charges sometimes, but would stop after a couple of minutes. I couldn't figure out a scheme. It's randomly charging or not
razer core and power cord--> same result
disconnecting razer core while power cord is in --> begins charging
I don't have any other tb3 equipment unfortunately.

What I did was plug the included Lenovo charger into the second port (even though they said that only the first from the left side could be used for charging) before plugging the egpu, this I could charge my laptop from the brick and use the egpu at the same time. If you want to connect some other devices to that USB-c port, just get a dongle with passtthrough USB c power
The thing is that the laptop has the icon indicating that it is plugged in (a small thunderbolt symbol on the battery), but the battery level stays the same or maybe charging very slowly while the laptop is on. When I leave the laptop plugged in the Core and leave it overnight, it will not charge at all, although the core will be on (it's fans will spin and the leds are on)
Question for you fine folk: does the lenovo laptop feature a bios reset button anywhere on it? This happened with the win max 2021 edition with eGPUs. It was the result of a poorly implemented BIOS that was later fixed, but the immediate "solution" was to connect the eGPU with the device powered off, do the BIOS reset, which effectively simulated a battery pull, then wait for the charging light to display before powering the device on. That would give you PD and eGPU use.
Addendum: Would @MattB mind adding your Lenovo model to the title for others? At this point, it seems pretty clear the issue is the device, not the eGPU so adjusting the title for better clarity would at least help other members experiencing the same problem find your post faster.
