Just wondering, is there an update for the 2010 competition rules yet?

Dear Chris,

at the moment, we are working toward a new version of the competition
software and we will give out a preliminary release as soon as
possible (to start testing and debugging it).
The main feature of the new version will be a non-graphical mode that
won't require any interaction with the GUI to start a race.

Concerning rules, they are not completely defined yet: we are trying
to make the competition slightly more challenging and more CI-
oriented.
However we are not going to introduce dramatic changes and software
will be backward compatible, that is previous entries can still be
used for the 2010 Championship (although they might need to be
extended in order to be competitive).

In addition, we are also working toward a new task as a side
competition to the championship (we hope it will be very funny both
for competitors and for spectators). It will be announced soon.
