Usingthis, I'll try to find you some docs about the battery lock. But a better way to know if something is broken would be to see it directly. If you can do it, do a video of your battery and its lock, and then post it on youtube or somewhere else.
I had the same problem with my battery falling off/out. VERY aggrivating!! After reading many of the other postings and not being very encouraged of good solutions, I tried BLACK DUCT TAPE. WORKED PERFECTLY!!! Tape over the latches so they stay in place then tape over the battery. Don't even notice it and it has not fallen out since. Still think HP should fix the issue but for those of you who want an easy and cheap solution - try Duct Tape!
However, I have to wonder why something hasn't been done to correct this battery issue before now. I certainly am not happy with the idea of having to take my computer in and leave it for x number of days. I did buy it because I needed it for work and be able to pick up the wifi.
About the Acer, anyone have one? Another issue I am having with it is that, I have to be sitting on top of the wifi for it to work, if I move computer from that room to another, I lag and even get completely dropped. It is like it needs an antena
I am having the same issues as my batter will not stay in my HP2000 laptop. The latch button is stuck and just not possible to send the laptop in for repair. Next time Ill buy Toshiba after owning them for several years I took a chance with a cheaper more economy model by buying HP. This is not my first HP product but I really was disapointed that the laptop was built no better than the Printers I have purchased. Now dont waste your time calling customer support and that warranty. That warranty will direct you to a third party out of Florida that will tel you its your fault and you voided the $100.00 plus dollar replacement plan you purchased when you bought the laptop.
Now I think I will go with Gorilla Tapa over the battery compartment as its more closer to the original color of the lap top. At meetings and in my travels I will be sure to make sure everyone see's the tape over the battery compartment. I will tell them this is my field notebook lol. I didnt want to get my other laptop damaged as I use it for onlien games.
I have been browsing the community for answers to my problem, but none of the responses seemed to have solved the issue. My team frequently encounters an issue where Alteryx writes data to multiple worksheets of the same Excel workbook and upon process completion, the Excel file remains locked indefinitely. Our IT HelpDesk is not able to even kill the connection to the Excel file. We have tried all of the following:
We cannot move away from Excel unfortunately and need to have the data available in Excel. We also need the users to modify the file. This is currently causing a ton of pain. Does anybody have any other ideas? Below are the error messages we get when we open the file.
The solution I've found that seems to work the best is to actually use the Parallel Block Until Done tool (part of the CreW Macro toolkit that can be downloaded here). There is an explanation of the difference between Block Until Done & Parallel Block Until Done in this post - @MarqueeCrew provides a good comparison of the differences and when one might work better than the other. The Parallel Block Until Done tool should allow you to specify which tab gets written to first, and subsequent workflow activities/outputs will not begin until that first output is complete... you can chain them together as well, if you're writing to more than 2 tabs, and the flexibility of this one means that you can feed in different branches of data into the tool, instead of only having one input branch like Block Until Done.
I was wondering, when i use the top view in rhino, is it possible to have the curves stay locked in the same plane, even though I want to use snappoints of objects that are higher/lower than the plane?
An "As-Built" Joint needs the two things you are joining to be in the right position already. But a regular Joint doesn't. It will move/orient the first item you click into place on the second item you click.
Thanks; I hadn't thought of using As Built joints, but it looks like they lack the flexibility I need anyway, such as being able to adjust relative axial position as I fuss with the design, and the ability to prescribe limits of motion.
Reconstruct the pivot Joint such that it's default position is where you want it to be. Or just give it a Rest position that you like in the Joint Limits options, although I hate that because you can no longer drag a Joint out of position and leave it. It snaps back to the Rest position when you let go of the mouse button.
The reason Fusion 360 works this way is because you can use joints and different part orientations as a modeling tool, so you can rotate a part to a position and do a combine cut, then rotate it to another position and do another combine cut etc. All full parametric.
IMHO, however, the Fusion 360 team has struck the wrong balance in this area when it comes to assemblies. There are obvious disadvantages to this behavior- one of them can be seen in this case and the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, particularly when it comes to more complex assemblies with moving parts.
Okay. The "default" position is the position at which Fusion already knows it belongs, and therefor doesn't need to "capture position" to set a new value for where it belongs. You don't even have to delete and remake the Joint to change it.
Edit your pivoting Joint. You see how it's got the positional control on it while you're editing it? The three arrows and the angle control? Take that angle control and rotate it around until the assembly is in the location that you want to have as its default home position.
To "Lock a Joint", take note of the angle or displacement position numeric value of the joint. Set both the min and max limits of travel to that same value. The joint will remain locked until you change the limits of travel of the joint.
Help. I just updated to the latest version of Photoshop, and I'm having all sorts of issues with regards to resizing images. The "aspect ratio" lock button does not stay locked (after selecting it), and turns off mid-resizing of the image. It only resizes if I click into the actual PERCENT to scale, rather than the transforming of the corners of the image.
"Photoshop now transforms most layer types (such as pixel layers, type layers, bitmaps, Placed Smart Objects) proportionally by default. Shapes and paths, that is vectors, still transform non-proportionally by default. ".
Baseball players are said to be locked in when they swing only at strikes and hit every strike squarely (if they are hitters) or if they breeze through the opposing lineup with sharp control and the opponents manage no hard hits against them (if they are pitchers). So the term applies to different types of performance in different sports, but it always implies great concentration and effectiveness by the locked-in player in whatever the game or event may be.
@Joddiieeee I've merged your post with the bug report for this issue. If you're willing, it would be helpful to share your save with the Sims Team. Please see the post immediately above yours for details.

@Shelbeigh05 Try locking for all, then unlocking for your Sims and/or ranch hand. It seems like the "lock for" settings overwrite each other instead of layering - so if you locked for horses after locking for sheep & goats, that changed it to be only locked for horses, letting the other animals out.
