Qualifiedto RTCA/DO-160G and optimized for a full range of flight information systems, Kontron's ACE FLIGHT Airborne Servers have been certified for use on a wide range of aircraft types, installed globally with FAA, EASA and CAAC approvals. Kontron's open platform software architecture allows applications to be easily deployed on-board, from operational fleet management to passenger entertainment and connectivity services. Deploying latest Intel processors, Kontron's airborne servers deliver high performance for all applications.

Recently on the past two updates, I have set up free flights with friends to do some formation flying. After looking at the replay files I noticed that my aircraft wasn't present after flying for any period of time, but everyone else's aircraft were there. As for my friends, they could not see their own aircraft but only the aircraft of others including mine.

I took this information to a different Discord server where other DCS formation aerobatic pilots are, and they have reportedly been going through the same issue. The aircraft we flew in form the first time this started acting up was the L-39, and the second time in the F-15, so this is universal to all other modules. This comes to a great disadvantage to us when reviewing our flights and it is affecting every virtual aerobatic team that exists on the platform.

Most of the issue with tracks is the game trying to recreate your control inputs from the data stored. For some reason, this is not always accurate and your aircraft does not fly as you had originally directed it.

The point he makes about a server track is that a server usually does not have a person flying from that machine. It only hosts and everyone flying on it is connecting via other computers. This means there are no control inputs that are being tracked (that only happens on the computer the aircraft is flying from) and only position, attitude, speed, etc data is being recorded.

So, ANY computer that connects, but is not flown from (usually the server, but can be another client) can more successfully get a track of the flight. This is not 100% but normally a LOT better than a track from a computer that was flown from.

They really need to change how it works. Would think simple position/attitude tracking with the aircraft type would be quite sufficient. IMHO, could dump the whole "Able to jump back in and take over" bit if it meant we could get usable tracks/replays.

I don't know about all client aircraft, as I was the only client connected. I also don't know if it's module specific. I just flew another Hornet flight today and the server replay track was fine. I'll have to test out the F5E specifically.

Too much hassle, and worried it will break some of my newer missions. Plus with the F-5's yaw bug finally fixed it might be worth a re-fly. The new toys like the Hornet's TPOD are a bit useless at the moment with sub-10nm rendering range anyway.

UPDATE: As of October 20th, the issue persists! I haven't done any MP Track Reviews in a while and discovered this today...as a test, I flew an SP mission with the option to save track at the end and the saved client track only does show my aircraft like normal. I think this problem is isolated to the Mulitplayer mode and something is broken in the code...I hope ED fixes soon.

I can't get an inside view of any multiplayer track. The tracks for spectators (server or client) have everything recorded perfectly, but can't get inside views. The tracks for the player (whether playing on a client machine or the server) are missing the player aircraft (so of course, no inside view of it). The player's AI wingman was also missing.

I've seen that doing circles (on ground even) messes up the tracks. Once I took a missturn at an airfield. Proceeded with a 180 the otherway (on ground with the Hornet). Taxii'd to the runway and took off as usual.

I tried to understand the data protocols used to connect InFlight-Entertainment (IFE) Server, Seat Electronic Unit (SEB), Floor Disconnect Box (FDB) and Seat Display Unit (SDU), but I'm a bit struggling about this.

Generally speaking I've seen that the most used transmission protocols for avionics are ARINC 429 (629 in case of Boeing 777) and ARINC 664 or AFDX, since part of the IMA infrastructure, and in other rare case ethernet connections, however I haven't found particular specifications about this particular connections.

The IFEC rack is the source for all data sent to the passengers IFE units and the flight attendants panels. It contains files and media servers, is linked to external cameras (ETACS), landscape cameras and SATCOM.

The IFEC is also interfaced with the CIDS which supply it with data from systems like CDAU and ADIRS and other aircraft systems using AFDX, engine data from PCS, or discrete signals like cabin systems (oxygen) or public address.

For Airbus, the cabin IFE network is only a layer 2 LAN with multiple Ethernet segments linked by Ethernet switches. There is no possibility to route malicious packets to other domains, since there is no routable (layer 3) protocol.

The interconnection between IFE and other systems is made through the CIDS, which is based on a redundant "director" which controls data destination. Without other elements, the assumption is security is primarily at CIDS level.

In fact, client/server architecture has become today's standard method to distribute the information resources staff need to do their jobs efficiently. Yet one of the most demanding workplaces anywhere - onboard commercial aircraft - has missed out on the benefits of networked PCs and servers...until now.SPIRENT Systems has changed the situation with their Aircraft Servers, which combines processing, memory, display, and communications hardware, together with applications and operating system software, to bridge what is still for most airlines a major communications gap. Residing in the avionics bay, the AIS Server interfaces with other aircraft avionics and communications systems through a Local area Network (LAN). It communicates through client workstations, such as laptops or touch screen PCs (although AIS can also provide wireless PDSs and even wearable PCs) situated throughout the aircraft. To link the aircraft with ground-based corporate systems, the Server works with a number of the latest communication technologies - such as wireless LANs, DBS, ACARS, VDL and satellite data services. The server utilizes industry-standard communication protocols and data formats, and COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) components, for maximum flexibility, reliability and cost-efficiency.Updating the Server's stored data can either be via data media replacement (CDs, disks etc) or by current and emerging wireless communications technologies.

I was on the expert server earlier today on the Singapore region and began at WIBD but the ATC was unable to control the ground due to larger aircraft like the 777-300 and 787-10 is there anyway to stop these larger aircraft at this small airport.image20481536 2.27 MB

Yeah I get what your saying. I just thought about this too, it could be that they were the only rockets fitted on those aircraft. It could also be that other rocket pods used are just not modeled yet is all. If you find documents that says they used different rockets for an aircraft in game, make a bug report about it.

Pretty much any aircraft that could mount the FFAR used Hydra 70s at some point as the Hydra 70 is just a motor swap, the same exact launchers can be used with minor adjustments, like the LAU-68s which were upgraded for the motor change.

Have you tried turning off your firewall temporarily to see if that makes a difference. I have not used this new feature of the FlybyWire Airbus yet. Do you need to run the program as an Administrator? Try waiting and starting server.exe from the MSFS Menu and not before the simulator starts.

I just happen to know what it is you are trying to do, not everyone will realise that there is a new toy to play with with for the A32NX, (MCDU on remote tablet/cell phone). You should explain that in the title of your thread.

Was in Berloga Multiplayer last night in Kuban in a 109 G6 Late. Ended up chasing a player in an LAGG down to the ground. Whenever he would get slow and I was on him, his aircraft would unrealistically snap and roll all over the place but maintain lots of energy. Snap almost 90 degrees sometimes over and over and pull out front again. like it had crazy rudder and elevator authority that didn't cause any speed loss. Ended up getting a few hits over several minutes and he crashed into the ground.

It can be a case of internet fps issue. Ping or something.

if he crashed he is not much of a cheater.

while flying in a server the server can have hickups , the player you see have internet issues or you yourselves.

For SP I have no idea, but sometimes I seen funny stuff but not put anything into it since it is not a continuous problem.

I'm not gonna explain the cheat, but there is *something* people can do to cheat consciously, but it's also something that can happen innocently by accident. If it's consistently happening when you get in close behind him, I'd bet that he's cheating though. I've seen people do the glitch and crash lots of times, which always brings me great joy, as they're not only garbage enough to have to resort to cheating, but they can't even cheat properly either and mess that up too.
