RachelPi Spanish 32GB version not booting

(the troubleshooting FAQ which is the requested way to ask a question is for some reason not editable by me).

I'd like to get a 32GB version of the Spanish language RachelPi distribution working.

I downloaded ftp://rachelfriends.org/rachelpi_32ES/rachelpi_32ES_2.0.2.img
and get the expected size (31486640128 bytes) and correct md5 checksum on it
md5 rachelpi_32ES_2.0.2.img
MD5 (rachelpi_32ES_2.0.2.img) = a0be3eb3eddebb88e20aaefd5fd5a789

However its not booting off of a SanDisk Extreme Plus 32GB micro SD card.

The odd thing is that I'm not having any problem with the English 3.2.0 image (rachelpi_32EN_3.2.0.img) with exactly the same setup.

Any suggestions here? The Spanish image is slightly larger than the English one, but smaller than the capacity of my disk (31914983424 bytes). Have other people recently used this image?
