Team,

Thanks to Johnny Long and Hackers For Charity, RACHEL is now on the BRCK bandwagon, which should start rolling any week now and pick up considerable additional publicity.

Another way of saying this would be to say serving RACHEL from a web server is on the informal BRCK application list.  BRCK has a small over worked staff, so you smarter guys will have to do the hard part that requires brains to figure out how to serve RACHEL from a BRCK.  Once you can do it, if it is not a giant success you can blame me.  I am hoping work that has already been done with OpenWRT routers will make the work easy once some of you guys can get your hands on a BRCK.  Sites with a lot of clients might want to use a Raspberry Pi, but I am hoping the BRCK CPU will give us what we need, if not everything we want.

If the moderator accepts my comment on the above blog, I have included a link to the online RACHEL PReview on the World Possible web site and references to the GCF Learn Free lessons and Practical Answers at Practical Action.

BY THE WAY, Practical Answers should be a great addition to RACHEL because it is a collection instructions based on 40 years of work of Practical Action and its predecessor the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG)

If you check the BRCK discussions boards you will see they are swamped right now and behind on answering questions, but they are hiring to hel them catch up.  As far as I know there are a great bunch of guys and gals to work with.  They would prefer to hire people willing to work in Nairobi.

I think once users can get some units get out to the field we will see creative answers coming in and a lot of real synergy between the people working with BRCK and those of us working with RACHEL.
