A source distribution of Prealpha 1 has been released.
You can get it from this page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/racer/files/

It is equivalent to subversion revision 59.

Main new features since Prealpha 0:
* Save and play back replays. Replays are automatically saved to a
file called 'last replay' when the program closes.
* There is another car model, used for even numbered players in a
multiplayer game.
* There is another track.
* There is a graphical menu to start either track or the last
replay recorded.
* You can start either track or any replay directly from the
command line. Use --help to see how.
