Bridges to Cultural Understanding, in partnership with CRIA (Calhoun Race Impact Alliance) is presenting the return of noted Western Michigan University Professor James Croteau who will present, “The Journey Toward a Non-Racist White Identity in the United States.” The talk happens Thursday, April 19  at 7 p.m. at First Congregational Church in Battle Creek.  Light refreshments will be served. First Congregational Church is located at 145 Capital Avenue Northeast, near downtown Battle Creek. Call 269.274.3896 for more information. The presentation is free and open to the public.

FYI, CRIA, in association with the National Resource Center for Racial Healing brought in Dr. Croteau last year for morning presentations. Our hope is this evening presentation will draw folks who were unable to attend the morning sessions.

Dr. Croteau does and excellent job creating an informative, nonconfrontational space for discussion. This is a relevant and topical presentation and I urge you to share broadly and bring a friend.
