Position Openings for New Outreach to Minority and Underserved Communities in Michigan

The Historical Society of Michigan is pleased to announce that it is hiring to fill two new positions at its Lansing headquarters:

Assistant Director for Diversity and Outreach

            Education and Conference Coordinator

The positions will advance the Society’s ongoing efforts to engage minority and underserved communities in teaching and learning about state history, and will impact the organization’s mission areas of education, publications, conferences, awards and recognition programs, and support to local historical organizations. HSM is proud to take a leadership role in developing a plan of action—of which these positions are a significant element—to ensure that the story shared of Michigan ’s past incorporates the perspectives of all its citizens.  The positions are made possible by a major grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
