Irecently applied for a Southwest credit card and was approved last week. This came with the companion pass offer (spend $4k in 3 months). I understand that typically the pass is activated after the next statement. I have a ski trip planned in the next two weeks. Is there a way to expedite the companion pass so I am able to use it for my upcoming trip? Or is it possible to move up the statement date on a new card?

Call Chase and ask, but likely it will be a "no" - in the meantime book the CP ticket with points if you need to save that spot, so you can get it refunded if the CP comes through in time. (i.e. don't buy a placeholder WGA fare which will refund into travel credit.)

Thank you. I figured it might not work, but worth a try. I bought both our tickets back in October with no plan to use CP. When the offer was announced last week we thought we might get lucky if there was a way to get the pass before our flights (Feb 24).

My wife is set as my companion passholder. We plan to travel several times in the next few months. Can I reserve her companion pass flights on all of these flights I've booked in advance for do I need to wait until the first flights are completed before adding her to my future already reserved flights? I am not changing the person, I just need to know if I can reserve multiple future flights for the same companion. Thanks in advance!

The complication is only if you change the companion to someone else, that would have to wait until your wife had completed all of her trips as you can't change the companion if they have any active bookings.

Go ahead and lock them in! The only other complication is that if you need to change the ticket, you'll need to either call or else cancel the companion while you make changes and then add the companion back to the new ticket.

As mentioned in other posts you can add the companion now but it does make it a few more clicks if you have to change or cancel your flight because you have to cancel the companion reservation first, make your change, then add the back on the reservation; However, I do think the complication is worth it because if you are on popular flights you will only be able to add a companion if there is a seat on the plane. If you wait and the flight sells out you will not be able to add the companion. If you add it right away, your companions seat is secure. For this reason I always add the companion right away.

The Head Start Coaching Companion is a video-sharing and coaching-feedback application for early care and education staff and providers. It helps coaches, coachees, and peer-coaching teams work together, even between coach visits or from a distance. Share video files, ask questions, exchange feedback, and develop individualized coaching plans that support quality teaching and positive outcomes for young children.

Teachers, family child care providers, home visitors, and coaches can use the Coaching Companion's video library to view examples of teaching practices. They can also share their own classroom or home-based videos and track progress through the three major components of Practice-Based Coaching (PBC): Shared Goals and Action Planning, Focused Observation, and Reflection and Feedback. PBC is a coaching model designed with Head Start programs in mind, however, its components align well with a variety of coaching models used across states and territories.

Narrator: The Coaching Companion is a video-sharing and coaching feedback application that allows a teacher, a family child care provider, or home visitor to share their classroom or home-visiting practice with their coach and to view the videos to make comments and reflect on their practice. With the Coaching Companion, current and prospective teachers, family child care providers, and home visitors are able to see effective teaching and home-visiting practices and refine their own practices.

Narrator: The Coaching Companion is built around the practice-based coaching model. Coaching occurs within a collaborative partnership. Shared goals and action plans are established. Focused observations occur. Feedback and reflection lead to enhanced use of effective teaching and home-visiting practices, and the cycle of refinement and improvement continues.

Video is like that extra pair of eyes. When a teacher is implementing a lesson, we've got one perspective. The video provides that other lens. For teachers who are reflective and who are open to change, it is a tremendous opportunity for them to see how what they do or don't do impacts children's learning.

Katie: As a coach, I love to see the teachers just realize things on their own, and I'm really there to support them in their professional development and to help them get to the next point of their teaching and their practice.

Debra: I had this huge "a-ha," because it's one thing to be told that you're doing something well, but to see yourself, it's powerful in building the confidence. And, you know, if you feel good about what you're doing, you're more ready to embrace the challenges.

Narrator: The Coaching Companion is a tool to help you organize and engage in coaching. It helps to eliminate barriers of distance and time with a flexible framework that allows coaches and education staff to engage in meaningful coaching interactions when they're not together in person. It also supports self-reflection, a critical skill for professionals to develop as they seek to improve their own practices. The Coaching Companion supports the systems that programs develop in response to the Head Start Program Performance Standards around coaching. Companion caregiving is a popular service for seniors and disabled adults who need socialization and interaction but do not require advanced assistance. Professional home care services help them age in place, maintain their independence, and give you much-needed confidence they are receiving safe, compassionate care.

Companion care provides emotional and physical assistance for seniors and disabled adults to help them feel secure and content in the comfort of their homes. Socialization and companionship can help decrease anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation.

Reports show social isolation can dramatically increase the risk of health complications and mortality in seniors. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that loneliness and social isolation are associated with the following:

Supporting an older loved one while also balancing your own obligations and responsibilities can be an emotional and logistical challenge. Companion home care services can fill in the gaps when you cannot be with them due to personal, professional, and family commitments.

Personal care, on the other hand, covers the primary duties of companion care, while also providing physical support with daily activities, including dressing, bathing, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, or meal preparation. Personal care can also include non-medical assistance for chronic health conditions such as diabetes or Parkinson's.

A friendly coordinator will schedule a free care consultation with you and your loved one. The coordinator will customize a schedule and home care plan based on your loved one's unique needs and preferences.

So this morning I had an update for Chrome which I did. Then shortly thereafter I got a notification for a systems update on my Mac which I did. Went back into companion app and made sure automatic upload was on for both Strava and TP.
