TheCarol Burnett Show. Aawwhh, those memories. Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Lyle Waggoner, and Vicki Lawrence. That's how I spent Saturday nights at my house. Watching those skits, dancing and listening to musical artists, and laughing til my stomach hurts. Remember the Gone With The Wind curtain sketch or Mrs. Wiggins, and there was Carol Burnett's Tarzan scream? It's a time in my life, I will never forget.

This part is extremely hard to do for me. So here it goes, I can't believe I've been a Mom's blogger for nearly eight years. Sharing stories of my daughters, Hollis, 17 soon, and Peyton, 13, in one week, have seemed to take a life of its own through my blogs about them.

I let you know about being a disabled parent (believe it it doesn't slow me down.) Friday's Eve, meeting your Godmother for the first time, the fear of spiders, trips to amusement parks, lunch on our new front porch, buying and getting my teen fitted for a bra, buying flip flops during Old Navy's $1 sale, a lacrosse mom's life, my love of movies and its stars, who plays Santa at Christmas time, Christmas time without season favorites like Frosty the Snowman, Charlie Brown, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, my children have met high school and college friends, field hockey teammates, teachers, and can't believe that I was actually a little girl let alone little. I cried deeply when All My Children (Sweethearts Angie and Jesse and Greg and Jenny... the gang sort was reunited again.) and ER (with George Clooney who is now a supermega actor-producer and director.) went off the air.

I've had to think about this for a while, but I finally came to a decision...and it was a hard one. I will be no longer writing my blogs for Gannett anymore. I wasn't even looking and I will be writing somewhere else. I will tell you where I'll end up, but I have so many hi's, goodbyes, and thank you's. First, I have to thank

Now it's official. I can't get away with anything. Imagine getting this news in a foreign country from your six brothers. My dad called me daily to check on my progress and sent my uncles over to check on me and the girls.

Playing the BIG sister? Roles were reversed. Thanks for taking care of me and sometimes the "girls" especially explaining to Peyton what happened to me and how the doctors were fixing me. I don't envy you telling my news at the airport to our mother.

I'm glad that their big sister finally met her little sisters (Peyton and Hollis) during the pool party at your house. Forget Lulu was your sister, the girls loved swimming and splashing in the rain and the pictures. Now, Mom is waiting for that Zucchini bread, and meeting their other sister, Donna Jerome Schumacher.

I was scared that my illness made people see me differently. It hasn't but it has made me stronger in my faith and Sundays have become the longest day. I'm splitting my days between the radio station, Sunday School, church, and explore my Christianity. @ Shirley: I don't know how to thank you, but I am. Will never forget what you've done for this family.

Thanks for listening. @ Nate: We go way back and I appreciate you and the rest of the staff for welcoming me. Hope the interview with Dean Edwards was a surprise. @ Kevin: I have your e-mail address and you should see Marsha Jones's Doing The Writing Thing in June? @ TraJon: You're going to do wonderful in the Big Apple and I left Dean a message for you.

The Rochester Lincoln Chapter of the Monroe County Library will be holding a special event on Tuesday, May 21st, at 5:30 p.m. They will host a reading and discussion of Pin Pals (my novel). The event goes from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Call Joan, 428-7777 because the discussion includes chapter materials being provided by the Southwest Quad Newspaper who will release the materials May 1st. She booked this event for me. Thanks!!!

My writing partners whom I love so much. Thank you or critique my past novels Love Begins With Truth, Win Win and Pin Pals. All your suggestions have made me a better writer. Can't wait for Steve's wedding soon.

@ Marie: Thank you for running some of the youth programs at Memorial that the girls have been involved with, Kwanzaa and holiday programs, instrument presentations, talent show and Christmas pageant. @ Curtis: Because of you, I have actually turned into a playwright because of the Sankofa Days/Mood Makers Black Playwriters Festival. Than you for selecting me as a Playwright-in-Residence and creating my plays,GenericMoms.Com and Win Win: The Play. I will debut this year's play Love Begins With Truth in August.

My favorite and only Reamer Pledge Club Brother. Glad we met and had daughters born a few days apart. Now it's time to hit a Purdue game at a reunion. Thanks for the use of your red car in West Lafayette, Indiana.

I am going to owe the Beckford extended clan for helping me to keep a promise. I had this stroke the year we were going to Disney. On the advice of my doctors, The Beckfords prodded me to Florida to make a vacation for us. Rest for me and girls gone wild to act like kids including two days at Disney, music in the park, movies, shop, and Paris b-day party.

When I had my stroke Peyton's second grade teacher (I was her Classroom Room Parent) sent me a Oversized Get Well card (that I still have) signed by him and the kids and let me chaperone a trip to MCC and see the School House Rock Show, "Conjunction, Junction, What's Your Function?" My daughter, Peyton was shocked to see me know all the words to his song. I didn't care.

@ Ruby: Rochester's best kept secret. Thank you supporting them and getting the word out about them. @ Garth: Kudos, kudos, kudos. You're a treasure and the girls love you and the dancers. @ PJ and Steve: My claim to fame is knowing you guys. We both had our dreams come true. We are the lucky ones.

Hey Spec! I have been listening to you for these 20 some odd years. Thanks to your advice. I have a sequel in October Win Win II: Sterling's Choice and three more books between now and February 2014: The Look On My Face, Barbara's Goodbye Kiss, and a compilation of my plays still untitled.

My Brother from Another Planet and A Different Planet. Love you and glad you are in my girls' life. The look on your face during my performance of The Vagina Monologues. I wish I had one. I'm glad we got reunited 10 years ago. I now have to find a ringtone for you.

My oldest child who is named after you is now 17. We're both maturing. Thank you for blessing your cover photo art on Marsha Jones's Doing The Writing Thing Guide. The Smithsonian called and they want your dress back.

My backyard garden came to me via you. Brian, Thank you for the hard work. @ Mouse: I didn't know Jeff was your brother. Thanks for sharing some of your struggles and good thing we have the same initial letters.

I have known her for years. She told me that she thought I told stories for a living. I wish. What I didn't know was how much she respected me. I was speechless. I shared what happened to me during my stroke and the adjustments I made as a public relations professional and author. Thank you for My Woman-to-Woman Health Pioneer Award during its first year. I will see you this weekend for the conference.

This gave me my career start and I won't ever be able to Thank You. @ Jim: Our discussions, I'm still delighted to have them. Remember, we're networking and keeping what's happening up. @ Carolyne: I'm delighted that I learned from my first editor/teacher and the best. If you ever run out of story ideas, just know, you can call me, and I have a story idea for you.

Social Media Mgr @ D&C: I have learned a ton from you: Thank you. You're a good teacher. Whether it is writing a thread, a blog or breaking a news story, I hear you in my head. Besides being a good friend, I just wanted to say to you that if you need someone to talk to, call me at anytime. I'm so sorry about your mom.

I'm convinced we have the same daughters. I never realized how strong I was until you. I found that out getting in the carriage with Santa. Yes, Win Win II: Sterling's Choice will get the happy ending you want with a few surprises that you'll like. The X-mas carriage rides at the Public Market...the kids want to do it again. They loved the holiday parties at the Market, your house, and hanging out at your house with you and your kids. Congratulations, you are a proofreader for that book.

Because of you and where we met, once I finish Win Win, I've decided my next book is a cookbook. Love to cook...ssssh. I've got the recipes, ingredients, and simple instructions now I need a name. Enjoy your chair in retirement.

I love your heart, strength, and pictures. Keep telling it like it is and holding people to their promises.Thank you for letting me go to the airport and welcoming your brother back home from the Army.

The busy mom I had to meet. With your schedule, kids, army activities, and status and you are married, too. You lived past my expectations and cleaning details. You're a tough act to follow, but I try.

Or should I say Richard and Kathleen Voylettes. How many girls are home now? The only people who can sponsor their own girls hockey team with some help from me. @ Kathleen: We all went to school together at Purdue and you ger a medal of courage, valor, and putting up with The Dying Slug. @ Richard: An undergrad. degree in 3 years. Your graduate in a year. No heat in your car for Tap Out Night, c'mon? And your memorial proposal?

As of this writing, I am saddened to report that we lost one of our puppies. Hercules died this week and my youngest daughter, Peyton, is not coping with this loss well. Hercules died of a virus, according to the Vet, he had the virus since birth. I just assumed because he was a puppy, he'd be us for the next six years. I was so wrong. He showed us no signs of this: he ate well, played with his brother, had never been around other dogs, wasn't sick, kept on growing, had no worms, any other type of disease, and displayed normal behavior. His loss at 11 months is devastating to us and he would have been a year old on the 9th of May. Peyton's birthday is on this coming Saturday and the loss of her best friend seems like a cruel and unfair hoax.
