Store leftover paint in a dry place that is out of direct sunlight. Paint should be stored out of reach of children and away from food and drink. Most types of leftover latex paint, including AURA, REGAL and ben, should be stored either in a lined metal can to prevent rust, or a glass or plastic container.
The number one rule in resealing a paint can is that the lid should always be put back on immediately. Be sure to clean the edge or rim of both the can and the lid to get the best seal possible. Hi all! I was wondering whether I can store regular water based interior wall paint in transparent plastic bottles (orginally for water or juice)? My apartment is finished, but I would like to keep a little bit of each colour used, just for repairs etc. I can store those bottles in a shed that never gets any sunlight or frost.

From the latest insider build windows 11, I am not able to use Win + R mspaint.exe as the new Microsoft Paint app is available pre-installed. Somehow I thought uninstall and reinstall the app will solve the issue (old windows 10 behavior , from optional features or from store you can install paint after uninstall) but it is not so. I see the paint app available to other user's logged in to the PC, only my login where i uninstall seems to be affected that I can't re-install back the paint app. I did a couple of workarounds, could get the old executable of mspaint.exe and put it in system32 folder at the moment as a workaround and also i am able to bundle up the new Microsoft Paint app and able to install it from the new microsoft store preview as workaround. I had to do these workarounds as the new Paint app is not available in the new Microsoft Store preview or in optional features, I want to report this issue for Windows 11 Pro.
Wait for the Windows 11 final Oct release, the new paint app (with dark mode) will be available or try updating to the latest insider preview build 22458.1000. This has brought back the shortcuts for paint app (via App alias ==> Settings > Apps > Apps & features > More settings > App execution aliases). I see two shortcuts now paint.exe and pbrush.exe. Both are working fine from Win + R. Thanks
Decor dishes can be expensive, but there is an inexpensive and easy DIY solution that includes (glossy) white spray paint and some thrift store (or garage sales) finds. I found my dishes at a local Goodwill. Look past the color and design and focus on the shape of the pieces.
lovely idea. I stumbled across a lovely teapot on a flea market and will spray paint it to give to my Mum for her birthday. What do you figure, if I close off the spout and lid area, so only spray paint the outside that it can still be used (as in used to make tea every 2 years, knowing my Mum)?
I really do think they would be fine for water and flowers. Spray paint is oil based, so it should hold up well to a situation like this. Also, you just need to paint the outside of the vases. Good luck!!
What is Rust Converter? Rust Converter, a water-based primer, contains two active ingredients: Tannic acid and an organic polymer. What objects can I use Rust Converter on? Rust Converter can be used on any rusty iron or steel object. It can be used on vehicles, trailers, fences & gates, iron railings and staircases, sheet metal, cast iron, outsides of tanks, lawn equipment, mower decks, farm equipment, tractors to name just a few. It will not work on aluminum, copper, stainless steel or galvanized metal. As a general rule, Rust Converter is a good solution to fixing rust on items you would consider painting.
Can a pump up garden sprayer be used to apply Rust Converter? No. Rust Converter does not work in garden pump sprayers. It is too thick, even in the sprayable format, for these devices. Any sprayer that states it will spray water based paint will be a good choice.
Can I apply Rust Converter over non-rusted or painted surfaces? Yes, Rust Converter will adhere to non-rusted or painted surfaces but it does not provide any additional rust prevention when used on these surfaces.
Are vapors from Rust Converter harmful?The vapors emitted from Rust Converter are similar to latex paints and are not harmful, but it is recommended that it be applied only in well ventilated areas.
