Hi

I just upgraded my testing environment to 3.7.6
Cluster environment.

And after upgrade, I keep constantly getting these errors into logfile.

2018-07-04 15:57:34.567 [error] <0.2748.0> CRASH REPORT Process <0.2748.0> with 0 neighbours exited with reason: {{{request_error,{header,<<"authorization">>},'Malformed header. Please consult the relevant specification.'},[{cow_http_hd,auth_basic,[<<>>,<<158,233,101>>],[{file,"src/cow_http_hd.erl"},{line,869}]},{cowboy_req,parse_header,3,[{file,"src/cowboy_req.erl"},{line,392}]},{rabbit_mgmt_util,is_authorized1,4,[{file,"src/rabbit_mgmt_util.erl"},{line,172}]},{cowboy_rest,call,3,[{file,"src/cowboy_rest.erl"},{line,1182}]},{cowboy_rest,is_authorized,2,[{file,"src/cowboy_rest.erl"},{line,346}]},{cowboy_rest,...},...]},...}

Regards
Raul

Ok, that is strange, last error was from 2018-07-04 16:15:59.541
And suddenly error messages stopped on both nodes.

Something must have garbled (or issued a misformatted) Authorization header
for a single request. The validation error is from one of the HTTP API dependencies, not RabbitMQ itself.

See what clients access the HTTP API and investigate them one by one if you really care or this becomes recurring.

I don't have much to add other than

Wireshark and plenty of HTTP traffic inspection tools can help.
