Hi all,

We’re working on RabbitMQ visualizer, we’ve just released the alpha version. The app is meant to focus on traffic flowing into the system and show possible bottlenecks within an instance.

If anyone is interested in taking it for a spin, please feel free, we’d love to hear some feedback and would welcome any discussion about the project.

Anthony, Christian, Parker, Sam
Cheers!

Hi Mohammed,

We have a troubleshooting page on the ReadMe of the github. It sounds like it might be a CORS related issue. If your rabbit is hosted on a different network then this will be a problem unless you whitelist the ip address that you are trying to access from within your rabbit-env.config: here's a great link on how to do that https://www.rabbitmq.com/management.html#cors

Hope this helps,

Parker

Hey Mohamed,

Let us know if that solved your issue. If it hasn't, you could just run Alice as a simple web app, that way you'll have access to the console and you can tell us exactly what kind of error you are getting.

1. clone the repo
2. npm install
3. Set "isWeb" to true In ---> ./Client/Containers/Main.jsx
4. npm run web

Hope this helps,
Best

Hi Anthony.

No the issue is not resolved, I did try to use the Web client by
following the steps given and still no Luck. it just says failed to
Fetch..
and using the Windows Client i did try to run on a X64 and X32
machines ( Servers 2016 and 2008) i get a blue screen. RMQ cluster
that i am trying to connect to is in the same Subnet as the server.
On the other hand when i try to connect to RMQ to a different subnet
like a single instance from my laptop, it works. i can see the RMQ
Visualizer using the client.
I don't understand what is going on anymore because i haven't
configured Rabbitmq CORS within Rabbitmq-env and config file.

Not sure what is going on ..

Hi Anthony,

Not sure if you had a chance to look at my previous email, but i did
try to use the web and Client from the same network as the RMQ cluster
is running but still same error message.
from Web UI it just says unable to fetch. I can't locate the log file
for this project. however when i use the client then it goes through
and end up in a blue screen, the exact screenshot was shared to you
earlier in this thread email.

Hey Mohammed,
Thanks for responding. As you are aware Alice is still its early stage, and we are collecting all the feedback to allow us to address and prioritize the next stage of development. Majority of our test cases were establishing visualization through a single instance. We did minor testing in clustering but now we’re clear there are still bugs that need to be addressed in handling clusters. We’re making this a priority moving forward as well as improve stability of the overall application. Thank you for the feedback this was exactly what we need. If still interested, we’ll let you know when it has been completed and tested thorough.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the update, Looking forward to hearing from you.
Well have this tool to connect to a RMQ cluster would be great and
handy to monitor the queue and performance.

Reehan
