Dear Team,

We are using Rabbit MQ in our microservice. Whenever we start the microservice, The server that has microservice will be assigned to new port number and will be connected to cloudamqp as a Client.

Is it possible to fix the port number ?.. Please take a note that transport is RMQ(Transport.RMQ). Please advise. Thanks

Thanks

Hi,

This is how TCP works - an ephemeral port is selected on the client side: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephemeral_port.
While there are ways to control this, this is very rarely necessary and most likely a bad idea. Instead of spending time
trying to achieve this, I'd recommend challenging the requirement/assumption that you need a static source port number.
If you decide to do this anyway, then you need to find out how to do this in your operating system (RabbitMQ has no say in that).

Best,
