RabbitMQ upgrade from 3.6.16 to the 3.11.15

Hi,

We are currently using 3.6.16 version of RabbitMQ on a windows 2019 operating system. The erlang version is Erlang 17.5 [erts-6.4]

And in order to connect to the RabbitMQ we are using MassTransit 2.0 version of the library. 

1. Is there any documentation on the steps to upgrade the server version from 3.6.16 to 3.11.15 version. I am okay to clear the queues in case the "in place upgrade" is not possible
2. And steps to update the code from 2.0 to 8.0.3 version of the MassTransit. Because I noticed there are lot API changes from 2.0 to 8.0.3
3. And we are also upgrading our .Net Framework version from 4.5.2 to 4.8
4. If the second step is not worth doing then could we just upgrade the server version from 3.6.16 to the 3.11.15 version but still go ahead with .Net framework version from 4.5.2 to 4.8

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Since you are upgrading from such an old version, standing up a new cluster and using a blue-green upgrade is probably your best strategy - https://www.rabbitmq.com/blue-green-upgrade.html
