Hello,

I'm trying to have a setup where docker-compose is used to create a containerized rabbitmq instance. I'd like to create a few (two to be exact) different virtual hosts upon startup. After a little bit of digging around, i found that setting a definitions.json file was an option.

However, i see an error stating the following:

2023-01-05 20:50:21.247720+00:00 [error] <0.132.0> load_definitions invalid, file does not exist or cannot be read by the node

2023-01-05 20:50:21.281580+00:00 [error] <0.132.0> Error preparing configuration in phase validation:

2023-01-05 20:50:21.281650+00:00 [error] <0.132.0>   - load_definitions invalid, file does not exist or cannot be read by the node

This was the article i was (mostly) following.

Here is the link to my public repository which also contains the full error log.

Thanks in advance.
Tina.

Hello,

What host operating system are you using?

What are your docker and docker compose versions?

Actually we need to add the new setting. The management one is still valid if someone wishes to use it.

Thank you for pointing out the missing example - https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server/pull/6814

Ah, I thought your user id seemed familiar -

I can reproduce this issue locally, so I'll take a look.
