Hi all,
Since Classic Queue Mirroring is now deprecated i have a few questions :

- Is there any timeline or year when the classic mirroring will be removed ?
- Is there an alternative to replicate a queue with 2 nodes ?

Raft queues seems not to be an alternative for my use case because you need at least 3 nodes and some features are not available yet (priority queues)

Thanks you in advance :)

1. We'll ship a major version without classic queue mirroring at some point next year. The last version still containing this feature will be supported for at least a few months after that happens.
2. No, quorum-based systems require an odd number of members.
3. Some classic queue features like DLX and TTL are coming to quorum queues. However, priorities are unlikely to be implemented in quorum queues. You can achieve the same functionality by using multiple queues, which is exactly what happens when you use priorities in classic queues (messages are internally stored in multiple queues).

We have a blog post with deprecation announcements with a link to a survey if you want to follow up on why something is important for you: https://blog.rabbitmq.com/posts/2021/08/4.0-deprecation-announcements/

Best,
