Hello,

I currently manage a RabbitMQ cluster (3.10.0) with nearly 400 queues and approximately 7 million messages per day.

I plan to upgrade the cluster to the latest version and would like to know the optimal configuration.

My cluster currently uses 3 VPSs with 16 GB of RAM, 6 dedicated cores, and 320 GB of SSD storage (running on ubuntu)

My question is: do I really need that much RAM and so many CPU cores?
Is 8 GB of RAM with 4 dedicated cores sufficient?

Hi,

Without knowing more about your workload it is hard to give advice but in general that type of workload can be done with 4vCPUs and 8GiB of RAM.
