Hello,
I recently started working with RabbitMQ and  wanted to ask how I can change the default path of rabbitmq-env-conf.bat. I know that we can set the Environment Variable RABBITMQ_CONF_ENV_FILE  and that we need to uninstall the rabbitmq-service and reinstall it but it's unclear from the documentation that where exactly I should put this env variable.
I know that I could set a env variable in windows properties but I prefer setting it into a conf file.

Thank you very much in advance!

Best,
Saeed

Hi Saeed,

You will have to set a system environment variable.

In general, moving things around on Windows is prone to cause issues so in general it's best to set RABBITMQ_BASE prior to installation if you want to move RabbitMQ's data and log directories. If you use that variable then %RABBITMQ_BASE%\rabbitmq-env-conf.bat is where the environment configuration file will be read from.

Thanks,
Luke
