Hi,

Are there any restrictions on the virtual host name?
I tried adding a virtual host using RMQ management console and it seems to allow all kinds of special characters in the name.
If there are no restrictions, then are there any good practices or naming conventions that I can follow?

Thanks!

There are no special limits on naming a vhost.
You can even use the UTF8 characters such as:

# rabbitmqctl add_vhost 测试

Adding vhost "测试" ...

vhost stands for the app space, it's better to be known by your user and begin with a "/".

for instance,

/game

/forum

/science

are good names.

Thanks
