Rabbitmq 3.11.2 and Erlang 25 installation on RHEL 7

Hi Team,

Currently we are using rabbitmq 3.9.16 and erlang 23 on rhel 7. We need to upgrade the server with the latest rabbitmq TPS ( 3.11.2 or above) asap for some security reasons.

As per documentation for installing rabbitmq 3.11.2 and erlang 25 required RHEL version 8 it seems. But in our product it is very big task to upgrade OS for now. So my question is there is any possibility to install rabbitmq 3.11.2 with erlang 25 on rhel 7?

Hi Prasanth,

My guess is that RHEL 7 does not have a new enough OpenSSL for Erlang 25. You could compile OpenSSL yourself, and then compile Erlang 25.1.2 yourself, configuring it to use the custom OpenSSL build.
