Hi,
I am using the C++ API for RabbitMQ
I want my application to connect to the AMQP Cloud broker.
I am using the Host name, Password, Vhost, and Username from the Instance Details. I have kept the port number as 5672.
This gives e an AMQP EXception error, unknown error -9

Can someone please help with how to establish the connection.

Thanks in advance!

Could me please drop the command that you are using  and error that your getting here if possible.

I am using the same but I am running it in k8s as 3 node cluster and I am using the service name for the connection along with the username password and the port with amqp protocol .🙂

My connection string is:

Error is:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'AMQPException'
  what():  Unknown error -9
Aborted (core dumped)

I am able to use the local host installed on my machine:
AMQP amqp("admin:admin@localhost:5672//");

this looks something different n new. But what i am using is something like this : --conn-str  amqp://xxx:xxx@<k8s servicename for rabbitmq :5672
i guess something with the AMQP connection template ?

Thanks for the help, it is working now.
What I was stuck with next was, how to get the certificates for the Cloud connection....?
Do we have to create it using TLS-GEN or with an upgraded plan, we can download it from the website

That's great.

I guess TLS-GEN looks good to me but I am not much sure as I haven't tried it yet but might use it very soon.

Why don't u give it a try 🙂

tls-gen just piggybacking on openssl. It should be good enough. But pls do verify it using the openssl commands.
