Hi,

I have try to upgrade RabbitMQ 3.5.2 to 3.6.2 on Windows 8.1 64Bits
What I have doing:
1 - Downloaded 3.6.2
1 - Installed
2 - reply Ok to => "uninstall the older version"
3 - Finish success

When I try to re-connect, I receive an error:
undefined: There is no template at js/tmpl/login.ejs

May be I need to to upgrade ERL too (old: 17.5) ?!
So, I decide to remove ALL and restart a full install
Download RBMQ 3.6.2 and ERL 18.3:
https://www.rabbitmq.com/install-windows.html

Clean up directory, registery, roaming, etc... after more than 50 clean-up/installtion/run script/etc. and reading of more that 50 page on "solutions" still Error again and again.
No log, just a crash-dump
Before that, all work fine with 3.5.2 + 17.5
Someone can save me ?
Question of surviving...

To complete information.
After uninstalling the new version and redoing an installation of RabbitMQ 3.5.2 + ERL 17.5 (with Stop/Start rabbitmq server), all is back and running.
Log is create, rabbitmq_managment is displayed, login is succeed.

Why new version failed to start ?

nb:
RabbitMQ 3.6.1 + ERL 18.3 is install since 2 month on other PC (without previous version of rbmq) with succeed.

Clear browser cache. The issue is in the browser and it should be quite easy to verify this by running curl or similar against the HTTP API directly.

I've try to update my previous post (remove et redo) to rectify version of rbmq 3.5.2 (rather than 3.6.1)
=> that was not a duplicate post ;) just a fix not take in account by blog.
(how to remove previous wrong post ???)

Thanks for your reply, but... there are a link between "Service Windows" and "JS browser cache" ?
Because i don't want to die stupide, I've try and "without succeed" but result was predictible ;) no ?

So, after many other manipulations I reproduce the problem each time again and again.
When I want managing rbmq with batch file (sbin), I have some errors due to usage of "!xxx!" rather than" %xxx%". "!xxx"! is not interpreted in some part of batch files.
The batch files work only the first time (when no directories is create).
After some replacement, rbmq run but problem came from batch files on windows 8.1 even if cmd is in extend mode. And not sure that he will run again after restart.

We certainly do discover and fix .bat script issues from time to time,
so take a look at the change log and give 3.6.2 a try:

You can see .bat files as used in 3.6.x:

if you still see "some errors due to usage of !xxx!" there, please file issues that point out
what file and line they are in.
