I am starting with rabbit, and I have a class where I instantiate the consumer for a single time, where when I receive the message from rabbit, I pass it to another method for its processing. What can be the reason for creating several consumers, if the class that instantiates it is created only once?

What language are you using? Could you share some code? It is hard to tell with the information provided.
