my new baby bun escaped

Hi I'm new :) my new baby bun escaped today. I chased him around because I was scared it would escape, but at the same time I was worried by the fact I probably seemed like a predator to it. I finally caught it and decided to hold it In my lap and calm it down but it got away again :( after that the same followed but I was able to afterwards actually callm it down by holding it in my lap on its belly and using one finger to stroke the top of its head and ears. He was a shy bunny before this, do you think he'll be scarred for life?

Young bunnies are quite fearless and curious. I'd suggest to use  a play-pen when you let him play outside for his safety (^_-)☆ I think he'll recover from the incident.
