Dear researchers,
Please be informed that the Research University Grants (GUP) Tier 1 & Encouragement Grant (Tier 2) 2015 are now opened for the applications (refer Prof. Dr. Khairul Anuar Kassim email on Thursday, October 9 2014)
Following are the details of the Tier 1 & Encouragement Grant 2015:
1. Guidelines for these grants can be access at the following link: http://rmc.utm.my/download/
2. Researchers who have not submitted final or progress report, are not eligible to apply
3. Starting date for Tier 1 & Encouragement Grant 2015 is on 1 January 2015
4. Application must be done through on-line (RADIS system) https://radis.utm.my/rmc/
5. Press SUBMIT BUTTON by 15 November 2014 . RMC will block RADIS system for submission after the date.
Below are the list of documents that must be uploaded in the RADIS system:
1. List and justification of equipment >RM3,000
2. Contract letter (IF APPLICANT IS CONTRACT STAFF)
3. Flow Chart of the project
Brief Criteria
TIER 1
The criteria of the application for Tier 1 are the same as GUP Phase 1/2014 with some additional criteria as follows:
* Application must be based on industry problem solving or industry driven needs.
* Applicant must attached evidence of collaboration from Industry.
* Industry Partners are encouraged to contribute cash or “in-kind”.
* Short listed Proposals are required to present their proposal together with their industry partner
Duration: 24 months
Max allocation : RM100,000
ENCOURAGEMENT GRANT (EG)
The criteria of the application for EG are the same as GUP Phase 1/2014.
Duration : 15 months with no extension
Max allocation : RM 50,000
**Additional information, all Research Officer (permanent staff only) are eligible to apply EG. Max Allocation RM20,000.
In accordance with the guidelines, please be informed that any late submission will not be entertained. ALL eligible researchers are strongly encouraged to apply for this research grant.
Further information on the evaluation process will be announce before 15 November 2014.
