to R2C2 - electronic board to control RepRap 3D printers and others
Hello (anybody still there?),
I'm trying to get an old Mendel i2 with the R2C2 back up and running. The printer boots fine, plays a beep and locks motors. However, no matter what I do, I am unable to connect to the machine.

I have booted Windows into the mode, where I can install unsigned drivers. I  have installed "ReplicatorG-0040-Installer" and all the drivers installed correctly. Still, when connecting a USB cable to the machine, the USB says the device unrecognized. And in ReplicatorG I still see the same COMs and can't connect to the printer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You need to setup the bit rate correctly on the computer side to match the R2C2 board.

Try different values. When you get "nothing" it usually means that the value is too high. If you get "trash", it usually means that the value is too low. Usual values: 9600 and 115200.

Checkout the config file. I believe that there is a config parameter.

The board can also boot in "safe mode". Have you tried it?
